Yes. I agree that in areas with high humidity there could be some water vapor inside the tire and a full N2 fill will eliminate it.

I have no humidity issues where I live but I use a dryer filter in the output of my air compressor to absorb moisture when checking tire pressures. And I change the dryer periodically as the desiccant saturates.

Again, more to think about; thank you!

I switched over from the Pirelli snows 285/35 R19's to the new Michelin Pilot SS's the fellow gave me: 305/30 ZR19's and woe, what a difference! I'm not sure I can go with: I'm liking it, the ride is a little harsh. I'll drop the air pressure to 36 lbs, although I don't think it will make a big difference.

I've been meaning to ask: can anyone recommend an accurate tire/air pressure gauge?

thanks,

John

I do not understand. These cars are pretty supple, especially with M PSS. Are those Michelins shot, i.e., hardened due to too many heat cycles?

Any Accutire or Longacre gauge.

Also the correct (low load) tire pressure is 33/37PSI F/R, not 36PSI.

Thank you! Yes, that's where the pressures are set to know.
