A&L bodyshop in Palatine. Simply incredible. You will find tons of exotics there, and for good reason. Ask for Anthony, tell him Philip from Syracuse, NY send you. He is a good friend and will take care of you. Great shop, great reputation, fantastic work.

Look into Ultimate Paint Shop in Lake Bluff and Lake Forrest. They do all of The Porsche Exchange's work. Joe Young is the owner. They are also preferred wth State Farm if that matters to you. Maybe other insureres too. Speeds the process. Good luck.

I'll second A&L. Just had Anthony and his team respray my rear bumper last week after some Home Depot hooligan rammed a cart into it. There is always nice Italian and German metal in his yard.

If you want it detailed afterward hit up Ivan at LUSTR. He does outstanding work at a more than fair price too.

No. I usually go to the one on North. The roads on the way to the one on Clinton are terrible so I avoid it.

If you take Clinton it's not too bad, just avoid Roosevelt at all cost!

The parking there is pretty good. I usually park far away towards the Northwest corners or by the CFD cars. Haven't had a problem since. It's got a nice rooftop great for photo ops too

Was it an intentional cart ram? Did you see him do it?

I doubt it and no. I assume the person had a lumber dolly cart with wood on top and didn't know how far it extended. The North ave HD lot is tight. I didn't see them do it and no note left.. typical. To top it off, it was less than 36 hours after I picked up the car from three stage paint correction and 22PLE application at LUSTR. I was devastated. I'm taking it back to LUSTR tomorrow for him to reapply the 22PLE after the rear bumper cover respray .

I don't intend to steal the OPs thread here. OP feel free to PM me and I can give you a cost rundown of the work A&L did. It may help. Good luck and I hope your need for a shop is not the result of anything serious.

Check out Auto Art in Glenview. They do a ton of exotics as well. Had a few things done there over the years. Ask for Larry, tell him Mike with Carrera4 told you about them.

I had North Shore - which is still in the city - fix a parking lot scrape 2 years ago.

I think they do the work for Loeber. Old school, family owned, not a ritzy place but they do good work.

If you skip insurance and pay cash they will work with you. Ended up getting a price that it wasn't worth sending thru insurance or having the incident listed on CarFax.

Gold Coast on Division is liked by many....but I've had a bad experience there. Might be an anomaly but worth checking out. I always worked with Mario.

My only suggestion would be to call Rizza Porsche in Orland park (708-364-2400) and see who they use.
