Garage should be rather level, but there must be a puff of smoke from the driver side when starting because there is a small trace of blown soot on the ground on that side, I just noticed. It's very small amount.

Not sure it wasn't just soot blowing off my already dirty pipes on start-up though...Might have to teach the wife how to start a manual car, so I can check on start-up.

Back in 2006 when I had a brand new 2006 c4S cab it was sometimes hesitating at speed (not always) but intermittently. After bringing it in numerous times for the problem the tech took it home for the weekend and noticed the soot on one side of the exhaust (don't remember which).

Anyway I had a scored cylinder and they had to replace the engine which they did in short order. The car had 4000 miles on it at the time.

Just an experience of mine and I wanted to put my 2 cents in here.

Good Luck.

Tom

That's nothing. Probably just exhaust condensation mixing with the soot in the system, and dropping on the garage floor.

Just use your phone and record a video clip. Don't teach your wife how to start/drive the 911.
