Also have a 2009 C4S. Just replaced my MPS2 s with Super Sports. Amazes me how much quieter they are. Welcome and post pics often.

Welcome to the 997 Club. Beautiful car. You are in for a lot of smiles. My .2 C4S has yet to not exceed my expectations (not a low bar).
As for the noise, road surface can make a big difference. There is a section of the 5 from the 41 to South of the 46 that some bozo paved so that you can't hear yourself think. Cement overpasses can be a bear as well. Or any surface with rain grooves.
FWIW - I had Super Sports that were very noisy in general, and the rears took to wearing to the cords on the inside edge with a vengeance. The fronts were still good so I replaced like with exactly like at the rear. I reduced the camber by .3 (from 1.9) on the right (to match the left side at 1.6). I took the toe on the left from .17 to .14 and the right side went from .14 to .19. While not symmetric, neither is the crown in the road. The bottom line is ... I lost the noise. And with over 5K on the tires ... No visible wear!
I have heard new tires are generally much quieter on these cars. But I still wonder about the affect a "bad" alignment could make. Where there is noise there is a noise maker.
Congrats. Now get out there and enjoy your new ride!

I'll have my indy check the alignment. Thanks for the info.
