Is the part only $99? Maybe I'll just install that myself! Porsche of Colorado Springs does do a nice car wash, but not $300 nice!

Sorry - don't know what it costs. They don't sell direct and no prices are listed on their website.

I have something similar (aftermarket) on my motorcycle. Bright LED's that pulse on braking and stream left to right or vice versa for the turn signals.

I think its a huge safety improvement. Probably available for autos soon.

I hate to even mention the name but Ralph Nader proposed a braking system that varied the intensity of the light based on how hard you were braking. The DOT nixed, and continues to nix, this idea. (Look how long it took to adopt the third brake light idea.)

I don't have knowledge of any other countries than Mexico but when drivers there brake hard they manually activate their flashers. Not everyone does it but enough do so as you notice and think that it is a good idea.
