Default X51 with Aerokit: Decklid to Airbox Sealing Plate

Need assistance from anyone with an original 997.1 with factory installed aerokit and x51. I own such a car, a 2006 Carrera S, and recently noticed that the molded rubber plate that interfaces between the underside of the deck lid and the airbox bellows on the driver's side is missing. I have spoken at length to the parts people at Sunset and they have sent me the incorrect part on two different tries (997 110 250 02, 997 110 250 00). The part is different from the passenger side which engages into a hole in a flat panel portion of the deck lid. The driver's side has a molded protrusion which projects downwards towards the airbox about 3/4". The missing plate is either a press fit around the protrusion or it is glued on as far as i can tell.

If anyone has a similar car and could check what the part number is for this plate, it would be very helpful. No pictures that i could find in PET. Thanks for any help.

Default x51 airbox interface - driver's side

On the driver's side, on my X51 2007 C4S, the decklid has a molded small lip that fits directly into the bellows. There is no attachment or plastic on the part of the deckled that rises when the rear is opened. Been this way since Day One.

Hope this helps, and ask for pictures if needed by PM.

thanks so much for your response. i couldn't recall whether there was a rubber surround on that protruding lip when new and didn't have any pictures either.

I have a dealer installed X 51...happy to post a pic later today when I get home. My impression is that the driver's side mates identically to the way it mated with the standard air box. I don't think there's any difference between factory or dealer instAlled since it's the same airbox.

This photo taken just after my purchase of a '11 GTS w/factory aero kit. For some unknown reason, the left bellows was installed upside down; why ….I don't know. So I turned it around to match the right side. May or may not be the same as the earlier models (997.1) :roll eyes:

I just realized you were looking for Aerokit equipped 997.1's with the X51...mine is non-aerokit. In case they are useful, here are pics of my '06S with the Powerkit:
