Default Catastrophic Failure Indy tech needed DC area

Can anyone recommend an indy to address what looks like a major failure I have? I'm in the Washington DC area and would like to keep it local. If there's someone within a 300 miles that is considered top of the line I'd also appreciate pointing me to them.

I have an intermix situation.

THANK YOU!!

Try calling John Behe of Behe Performance. They are in Beltsville, MD just off the beltway and experts in Porsches 301-595-3280.

Sorry to hear about your 997's issues...

I used Lufteknic in Richmond, VA for the PPI on my 997 and I was highly impressed with the shop and would highly recommend them for a 1st or 2nd opinion, as well as any work that may be required.

Good luck with sorting the mess out!

there's tons...depending - what specifically (do you think) happened and what are you looking to get out of it? i.e. OEM rebuild? track rebuild? remanu swap?

ASG in Fairfax is where I go and have recommended to friends, all of whom have had great experiences: http://www.autosportsystems.net/

Second for Intersport - have Charlie Murphy look at it.

Bit further away, but if you are down on 66 I highly recommend Jon Newhall (Newhall Mobileworks) in Waynesboro.

Is it this sort of oil-coolant intermix from a cracked engine?

I highly recommend TPC Racing in Jessup, MD (I have no affiliation with them). They've been dealing with nothing but porsches forever and they're awesome to have in the area. People bring cars from all over to them.

Thanks for the replies. My 2005 S has coolant in the oil, low coolant level and blows white smoke from one pipe. I could have anything from a valve to a head gasket to a cracked cylinder.

Ultimately, I'd like to get a rebuild in lieu of a replacement if its the worse case. I would want to have whatever goodies can be done during a rebuild to make the car a bit more performance wise. So... Finding someone who can address the current situation and do high quality upgrades is most important to me.

if you want more bulletproof/HP upgrade/track ready, i would go with Intersport or TPC. prices and options will vary between the 2 as will the lead time, i'm sure, so good luck with the research and post back any updates!
