1. NO...stay away from the yellow calipers. Poser in my opinion...just being honest.
2. Perfect...like that look! Just like the calipers though stay away from false factory things like fake S badges or GT3 badges. And no Vtech Type R badges!

This is my 911. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My 911 is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My 911, without me, is useless. Without my 911, I am useless. I must drive my 911 true. I must drive straighter and faster than my foe who is trying to beat me. I must beat him before he beats me. I will...
My 911 and I know that what counts in a race is not the wheels we chirp, the noise of our exhaust, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the elapsed time that counts. We will speed...
My 911 is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its idiosyncrasies and its horsepower/torque curve. I will keep my 911 clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God, I swear this creed. My 911 and I are the pride of my ownership. We are the masters of our foes. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is Porsche's and there is no other, but Porsche!

Thanks everyone for the excellent posts; they're very helpful. I'm going to continue to ponder caliper paint and decklid badge, but I do feel less burdened after reading all of the above! I'm also going to spend the $1200 for an H&R springs install (my car's stance is too high-- see pic) and then [hopefully!] stop with the mods!

The ONLY people who know that yellow = ceramic and that the P O R S C H E is from the 991 are Porsche owners. Nobody else knows or cares. 90% of the people on the street can't tell the difference between a 996, a 997, a 991, and a flattened VW, let alone what your mods might be confused with. Just do it if you like it.

Though I'm a fan of colored calipers, big reds on my 964 and yellow painted on my 993 cab, your 997 in black is just sweet. I have a 997 triple black cab with black wheels and black calipers so I may be biased. As for the flat back 911 on the rear, I think it looks great.
Yes, lower it. Your car has high water pants on. Its not bad, but you will love it lowered.

I wouldn't judge you for the badge or the calipers. I believe before PCCB's you could tick a box and order yellow calipers from the factory.
I would however consider a rim stripe instead.
