Default Aiming windshield squirter

My driver squirter nozzle aims a bit too low...... but I can't figure out how to aim them. It appears to be a solid unit..... I even tried a pin but am a bit afraid to apply too much force.

Ideas?

Peace

Search for posts by Eric from bumperplugs.com. He posted a DIY for the removal of the headlight washer cover. In short, with your headlights on, have someone activate the headlight washer. When the washer extends, grab the hose/base with some needle nose vice grips. You can then unclip the chrome (or painted if you have that option cover) which will expose the squirter. Inspect this part to see if it is damaged or installed incorrectly.

OK, here is the post. Link. When I pulled mine, it was not necessary to remove the headlights.

He's looking to adjust windshield washers not headlamps.

I don't think they are adjustable. But perhaps it's come loose from its mount on the front cowel (plastic trim piece). Removal of the cowl is not too hard. You can even get some access from below after removing the battery cover. I'd start there and then move on to replacing the nozzles if needed, less than $20 each.

You may also want to consider replacing the inline strainer (#18 on that diagram) along with semicycler's suggestion of the nozzles while you are at it. On my prior BMW, the strainer managed to get about 80-90% clogged with some sort of goo and causing poor performance (I think was due to mixing Rain-X's windshield washer fluid with old-school stuff). It is only another 10 bucks and low pressure from a clog may explain the problem.
