Default Anything new for steaming audio?

I have the Tune2Air but the well documented issues with it cutting in and out weren't resolved when I switched from an iPhone 4s to a 5s. I actually think it's worse now. Has anyone come across a new product that actually works?

I'm using the Mobridge M2 Pro in my 997.1 turbo. It works perfectly for bluetooth streaming audio. Track information is displayed on the PCM screen and I can skip songs backward or forward with the controls on the PCM. It has more functionality if I plug it into the USB port like playlists, searching by artist and track, etc. I don't know if this would work with the newer PCM 3.0 or not.

Dennis, do you have Bose? How difficult was the install or if you paid, what's the ballpark?

You weren't in SoCal a couple of weeks ago? A car like a lot like yours parked next to mine.

I have also have a Tune2Air and have eliminated the cutting in and out by not pairing my 4S to the PCM. Only one bluetooth connection to the phone; the conflict is that the phone does not like two bluetooth connections at once.

Traded emails with the Tune2Air folks when I first got the device and they did not have a fix. Seems to be an issue with PCM as there is not a problem with BMW.

Don't take many calls from my car so don't miss the phone connection to the PCM.

Don't have the navigation module, so I just Maps app on my phone for the audio instructions that run through the stereo.

Streaming audio like Pandora is just perfect no skips. I listen to more music than talking on the phone so this work around works for me.

Also using Tune2Air connection does show the artist / song on the console display when playing streaming music or music from iTunes.

I do have PCM 2.1 with navigation and Bose. I had the system professionally installed. I think the installation was around $120 plus the cost of the unit. The unit also provides bluetooth telephone connectivity, iPhone/iPod charging and the ability to stream iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, etc.

I wasn't in CA - at least not with my car!

I have a MY05 with whatever PCM it came with, BOSE, no NAV. I have the Tranzit-Blu HF. I stream Spotify (I have a premium account which lets me sync my playlists offline so I don't use data minutes unless I want the Spotify radio function which I rarely ever use). Also does handsfree phone, and GPS by bluetooth from my iPhone 5. Great sound, no cutting out, phone and GPS mute the music. Song title and caller ID show on the PCM screen, but playlist and GPS map are on the iPhone screen (I set the phone in front of the shift leaning against the center dash under the A/C control. Siri will open Spotify and make calls etc. and the Tranzit-Blu control button does answer/hangup and song skip with s single press. For such an inexpensive unit it works flawlessly and I'm happy.

As far as where the phone sits, I use a Pro Clip and can't speak highly enough for it ... No affiliation, I simply am in impressed by it. I started with the low mount option but it was in the way of my wife's leg and required a major look down, so I went with the upper vent mount. I got the cradle with built in charger. The cable exits bottom right and tucks behind the glove box door. Very clean. And no worry about the phone shifting in a turn. I get in the car, slide the phone into the cradle, and plug in the Aux cable for the media interface.

Tranzit is as good as it gets without spending too much. I installed mobridge, dension, navtv units for customers which have better sound (not a whole lot unless you are absolutely picky) and few more options but 5-6 times more expensive and more work.

Does anyone know if the Tranzit will work with the PCM in my 2012? I already have Bluetooth but of course no streaming audio capability.

You can't prove that I did it on purpose.

Does the Tranzit BLU HF require another cable or adapter for hooking into the antenna? If so is there a preferred brand?
