Anyone have experience with purchasing extended warranties after buying a used P-car? I'm intrigued by the idea but hear horror stories about little/nothing actually being covered when claims are filed, being required to commit to 4 years etc. i.e. usual insurance company nightmares.

I'm looking for coverage that I can buy for 1 or 2 years that will cover only significant issues that result post-purchase.

Any specific suggestions appreciated.

An aftermarket warranty is a matter of peace of mind rather than one of need, IMO. If you have a Porsche dealer nearby, suggest you check directly with them. See what they offer. Probably, a few bucks more, but getting the policy through them may save any issues if you need to use it.
