Good choice! Amongst the others on the list I'd say you did well

I saw that car on the Stevinson website. I'm unloading a BMW 5 series lease right now, or I would have gone over to drive it. Very nice. What are you doing for winter tires?

Congrats, I thought the dealer looks familiar.

No! Tint is a must in Colorado, we are much closer to the sun and the sun burns here unlike at sea level.

? Polar silver, very nice. That was one of my favorite colors on the 964. Your car might have been a special order paint to sample, because I do not believe polar silver was a standard offering on the 997.

Only good photo I got while up in Vail this weekend.

As for special order paint to sample, I have been trying to figure that out myself. Should there be an option code sticker under the front hood, or is it somewhere on these cars?

Gorgeous car! I noticed you checked out a 996 Turbo and then picked this car. Can I ask what drove the decision (anything other than looks?).
I used to have a 996 Turbo, and am thinking about the 997.1 now... but I keep thinking back to that torque.

Awesome. I just picked up a new C4S myself. It's on a transport so headed my way soon. Mine is very similar to yours, except black with the turbo wheels (and minus the perfomance upgrades). Trying so very hard not to think about it since it will be a week before I get it. Congrats again.

Thanks. I'm tryting to wait as patiently as possible. 2009 C4S, manual, certified, black/natural brown, 23k miles, pretty decent list of options. More to follow soon! I just want some time behind the wheel.

Garrison, how did you consider the IMS bearing situation in your purchase? Did you ask about it, have it checked in a PPI, have it remediated, or ignore it?

It's just hard to tell on these forums whether that is something that each of us needs to be concerned about, or just a rare situation that gets a lot of airtime.

Why would he worry about the IMS? its a 2006, the new design! I have owned 4 911s & never let this IMS fiascal worry me- Just when its time to change the clutch do the bearing, its an extra $500 Case closed!

I was concerned about the IMS as I thought it was a 997.1 issue across the board. After doing some research and asking on this great forum I found out that the 06' 3.8 was less prone to the issue. To be honest I plan on doing it if and when the clutch goes. I figure it will go before the IMS.... Fingers crossed.
