Default So Scottsdale...

Beautiful semi warm day in Scottsdale yesterday. Had the 997 out, top down and having a great drive running some errands. Pull out of a shopping center heading north and I see a beautiful silver car coming up behind me. Not sure what it was til I got to the stop light at a major intersection. As it turned right I got a good look at a brand new 918 Spyder. It took off like a rocket heading east.

Only then did I notice the McLaren P1 also stopped but heading south. Beautiful metallic orange.

The light changes and I take off only to hear the yellow Ferrari 458 Italia passing me on my left. Somehow I missed it come up behind me.

I figured that was somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.5M worth of sports cars at one intersection! 997 not included!

Nice neighborhood. I'd like to see a 918 up close.

If you are on the Gulf Coast of Florida, one can stop by Reeves Porsche of Tampa, and see the 918 on the Porsche show room. The new owner will pick it up in October. Four images are attached.

No rally stickers. MP4's are easily spotted around here too now that there is a full fledged McLaren Dealership in town. The 918 was awesome to see on the move.

I haven't seen a 918 in person yet. I'll be visiting the Porsche museum in Stuttgart, Germany later this month though - and I hope to see one there!

Almost considered driving 5 hours to Tampa just to see that 918 in person. Best car in the world.

A few weeks back I was going westbound on Shea for several miles alongside a metallic orange McLaren... I assume it's the same one. Beautiful car.

Still haven't spotted a 918 yet, but the SA at NScottsdale Porsche told me they've sold 5 so far.

Default The Trifecta

Saw the whole hybrid supercar "trifecta" up at Laguna Seca last month. Sorry to say but when you see these in person the 918 doesn't stack up. The La Ferrari is simply stunning in person. I'd take it over a P1 AND a 918!

Plan ahead and contact Porsche about a factory tour - I thought it was better than the museum.

I already talked to them about it and they said it was only open to people who purchase a new Porsche and take European delivery. Factory tours are no longer open to the public. How long ago did you do the factory tour?
