It that a color combo he really wants? Perfect condition? IMHO both should be true for the $52K asking price.

I bought the same car 09 C2 (same options) earlier this year (March 2014) except it's black/tan with 25k miles, single owner, and paid $52k in Chicago and shipped it to Cali.
I think $50-52k is fair for the car your looking at IMO. The only thing I question is why 3 previous owners? Hopefully everything checks out.
Good Luck!

Overall, the car looked good. I was wrong though, the ask is close to $54k which I think is too high for a base car.

Yes, a bit high for a base car. Are you in chicago? If so, prices should be dipping a little as we head into fall/winter.
$54 on a base is more of a California or springtime price.

My only note is that if the asking price is $52k, I would think he could get it for somewhere in the $47-48k range without a whole lot of bargaining pressure. If that doesn't go well, then at least ask for them to throw in or substantially discount a Fidelity or similar high quality 2+ year warranty. These cars are far from cheap to fix.

Yes, I saw that car. I think I remember the carfax saying the car was put up for sale 6+months ago. I'm not sure what is wrong with it and its even CPOe'd for that price.
Unfortunately, it is not PDK and that's a requirement for my bud.
