Default Mcgard Lug Bolts

I have a 09 Carrera s convertible and it has the Porsche genuine 19mm hex bolt M14 x 1.5 with 2.25 inches total length, I ordered McGard 68018BK and the are 17mm hex still m14 x 1.5 with overall length of 2 inches now my question would be is it ok to use these since it is 17mm hex and bit shorter? I really like the McGard black bolts but cant seem to find the 19mm hex @ 2.25 inches.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you are running OEM wheels without spacers you can order OEM black lug bolts from Suncoast or from any Porsche dealer for that matter.

are they as good as the Mcgard, no chip, rust? that's why I was getting the McGards. Also will it be unsafe to use the 17mm Hex 0.25 inch shorter compare to 19mm Hex?

Thanks

Forget the head size difference - assuming the seat is correct (ball seat, not cone), 17mm v 19mm just means you use a different socket size. Why would you even consider using a shorter than required lug bolt?

The only person that a wheel lock bolt hinders, is the owner.
I don't have them on any of my cars. If my new car comes with them.
Its the first thing I take off.
If said thief wants your rims, they will smash your window, pry open your frunk, get your key for your mag wheel lock, then take you wheels. Thus $4000 wheel and tire claim, $4000 paint and glass repair, and 10% off the value of your car because now there is a carfax insurance claim against your vin.
Or they just take the whole car.
Leave the Porsche OEM bolts.

I bought a set of lug bolts from ECS Tuning recently to replace my old corroded OEM bolts and locks. Couldn't be happier, if they're stolen that's what insurance is for.
