Mine says DO IT! She feels the GTS is too quiet and too soft compared to the GT3. Came home with it, and she's lovin' it. Likes the tightened suspension with Sport, too.

A couple of questions:

1/ How much was the install? (My 997 has PSE if that matters.)

2/ Does anyone know whether this mod effects the CPO warranty???

Cheers!
1. I did the install of the Shark Werks by-pass. About 2 hours.

2. My dealer installed the PSE after I had added the Shark Werks by-pass pipes. They never said a word about voiding my CPO.

The GTS sounds like a sports car now. A little more rumble at normal throttle and without PSE. Screams with the PSE and on the loud pedal. I can see my mpg's dropping just so I can listen to this concert.

Being new to the 997GTS, many here have advised me to have this installed. Glad I did it. If you've been thinking of it, DO IT. DO NOT DELAY!

Thanks to Alex, Dan, and, especially, James for taking care of me on short notice.
Joe, it has been a while- congrats on the beautiful new car and welcome to the pdk world ...the SW bypass is superb and I'm loving every minute on mine.

We are very fortunate that Alex, Dan, and James are local; the Sharkwerks team are the best in all they do and their customer service is unrivaled.

Cheers and enjoy Joe!

Thanks for the feedback, Tim! Looks like I'll be taking a drive to SW's in the near future...

Great mod, had it for a year now, never regretted it. Alex Ross & Dan Kennedy are true gentleman. Can't believe they can offer this quality product at such a reasonable price!

That's awesome! Almost sounds as good as a 997.1 pse now

My brother and I installed the sharkwerks pipe. Than took her for a test ride. Sounds great! and on "WhisperMode" (pse turned off) it is nice and quiet. When I turn on the PSE, (it is always on) it sounds like my girl on steroids! So far very happy.

Exhaust will only void the warranty if it directly causes another part to break...and even then the warranty isn't voided, the warranty claim is just denied. I think it's safe to assume that a simple center muffler bypass pipe isn't going to cause any issues other than lower gas mileage

+1 But lower mpg only because you will be putting your foot down harder and more often to hear that sweet sound! On the highway and cruising I got 1.5 mpg improvement with the SWs bypass. After the EVOMSit tune for 93 octane, I definitely saw a decreased mpg around town but again, an improvement at 70 mph highway mpg to 29.5!

I love hearing about good products and great companies. I'm going to see if they have anything for the wife's boxster.

Regarding question 2 I had the same concerns when I installed a Tubi exhaust and was told that as long as you don't touch anything from the cats forward you're fine. Enjoy it!!
