Ok this is just one of them funny stories i wanted to share. I had this rattling that was most noticeable slow speeds over small street gaps that i rolled over. It was a nagging sound that wasnt noticeable over speed bumps. My head started thinking ; control arm, track rod, shock mount, bar links, and thought of the expense... Caused worry. Asked dealer how much to diagnose, they said an hour labor. I just decided to bring to the local alignment shop. We lifter the car and proceeded to try and shake the components we could reach...all were tight.... Knocked on the covers which practically covered everything underneath...hey rattle sound. Removed a few screws and dropped the cover. Hahahaha a bar of dry, hard soap. Put everything back and all seemed ok again. Why do we worry if we still dont know the problem?

997 rich got it. I need to complain to Porsche though, the option does not work. Hahaha.
Told you guys it was a funny story. Driver cleans the wheels and tires and im guessing he used a bar of soap to clean the wheel wells which fell through a gap in the wheel area and inside the underbody covers.

Sadly, these cars have an affinity for catching all sorts of things beneath the seats--particularly the passenger seat. (It can even interfere with the air bag signals). PEriodically check beneath the seats for that odd stuff--from both the front and the rear.

Great story and ending. I had a similar case where I constantly heard a creaking noise coming from somewhere around the passenger side area, it drove me nuts. Secured the glove compartment, seats, a pillars, handles, seat belts...
Finally one day I vacuumed and found an empty Poland Spring plastic bottle lodged under the passenger side seat - creak noise resolved!

When I was looking for my car, test drove and heard odd thumping sound when cornering, braking or accelerating.
Sounded like it was coming from passenger side rear wheel well.
The dealer eventually found a full can of pop rolling around under the rear seat.
Funny
