Front Lip Spoiler installed on My 997.2 C2S
I bought a FVD Front Lip Spoiler from another Rennlister Steve (vg247) a couple of weeks ago. Steve is a nice guy, was great to work with and made the transaction easy.
I had a local paint and body shop paint it Meteor Gray Metallic to match my car. The body shop installed it yesterday. I really like the way it looks on my car. I think it adds a little more substance to the front bumper cover.
Below are a few pics I took this evening. It raind yesterday so the car is a little dirty.

Looks very nice And I like the brake cooling holes. Can you measure the ground clearance for me plz? Attached w screws and adhesive?

Tim, that is a beauty: paint job matches very nicely and it does add a unique enhancement to your front end.
I'm curious, did the body shop only use the mounting screws provided or did they also use some expoxy added for additional support/ adhesion. Any rattles or noises observed?
Take care turning into and out of those deep driveways
Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures and I hope you have many upcoming days to drive the nice ride...

That looks fantastic Tim!
Road debris caused some damage to the bottom corner of my stock bumper cover. The price difference between that lip new and an aftermarket gt3 front bumper cover is only a few hundred before paint so I'm torn on which way to go.

It is attached with sleeved screws. The sleeve expands as the screw is tightened, much like dry wall anchors.

Thx. One more Q. Does that narrow center section funnel air to the brake cooling ducts like the oem bumper does for the radiators or is it a "closed" off space? Hard to tell from pic!

The outboard openings on either side (in yellow) are open and he side walls of these opening are slanted toward the outer part of the lip, so air that passes through the openings is directed toward the brake ducts, as the arrows indicate.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I considered not painting the lip, but I thought painting it would make it look less like an after market part and more like it was meant to be there. Your comment validates that I made the right choice.

Thx for the great tech/art work explaining my Q (no pun intended)! I noticed your suction cup radar detector in the great pics of your gorgeous car. I have the same set up, but thinking of rear view mirror detector. Pricey but then completely hidden and no forward blind spot. And if I leave the car in sun for a few hours, the damn suction cup drops off!

My radar detector is an Escort 9500ix with the Escort SuperCup Windshield Mount. I have not have any issues with the mount detaching unexpectedly in the 3 years I have used this combination.
I mounted my detector lower that most people do because 1) I wanted to make sure I didn't block the GPS connection and lose the "lock out" capabilities of the 9500ix, and 2) with it mounted lower, I can easily see over the detector, so it does not cause a blind spot.
