Replacement Dension Microphone
The prior owner of my car installed a Dension Gateway 500 unit with bluetooth module, but used it only for ipod integration. Therefore, he never installed the microphone and can't find it. I now want to add the microphone, but don't know where to find one. Can anyone recommend a microphone that would work well? I don't know if there's noise cancellation or other features that I would need a specific type of microphone to take advantage of. I couldn't find one on Dension's website.

I'm looking for a better microphone too, no luck yet.

Wondering if something like this would work:

Mine doesn't have the mic either. Previous owner told me the audio is horrible and installed tooki instead.
I would try the tranzit blu. Only downside is you have to be on that station. I use my Denison for USB and bt stream.

There's nothing special about Dension's mic. It's just a standard dynamic clip mic with a mini phone jack. You can probably pick one up from any local electronic store.
I believe the poor voice quality is more from the poor mic pre-amp on the gateway, and less from the mic itself. The trick is NOT to increase the volume / gain level for the mic under the Dension's menu, so that it doesn't overload and distort your voice. For me I actually set it to -3 or -5 (can't remember exactly) and ran the mic to the top of the A-pillar trim.
