Default Trade 2011 C2S for 2007 Turbo

Would anyone consider this a good trade? A 2011 C2S with 7500 miles in excellent condition + $10,000 for a 2007 Turbo with 7100 miles, also in excellent condition?

The 2007 Turbo has:
220 - Axle-Differential Lock Rear
342 - Heated Seats
404 - 19" Turbo wheels
480 - Manual transmission
640 - Sport Chrono Package Turbo
810 - Floor Mats in Interior Color
AT - Black Full Leather
P77 - Leather Sport Seats
X1 - Arctic Silver Metallic
X70 - Door Entry Guards in Stainless Steel
Thanks.

Wait, who is getting the $10k? A 2011 C2S it's also up there in price.

2011 C2S + $10k for a 2007 Turbo. I've seen some 2011 C2S go for ~$72K at dealers and this 2007 Turbo is going for $85k.

From an unemotional standpoint, the deal is fair at best. You can find Turbos for less.

+2...But if he needs to sell his car (or trade it in) for another TT, he won't get full value...or the TT he likes may be gone. I'm assuming the deal he posted is a Private transaction and not thru a Dealer.

I would do it for a straight trade, no cash.

Thank you for the all the replies. After sleeping on it overnight, I think only a straight up trade would the best for me. I love my C2S, and would only trade up to a TT if it made sense. I guess it won't hurt to ask the dealer.

maybe for a straight trade, but I'd rather spend 10K on upgrading the interior bits in a C2S than have even more power that I can't really use on a normal basis...

Yes, the metzger motor is nice and all, but the 997.2 C2S is quite possibly the perfect package outside of the PA(R)SM... great NA power, great looks, interior upgrades, and an '11 has the "new" (i.e. not M96/M97) motor IIRC.

straight-trade might be fair, but I'd still rather have the C2S.

The question really is, do you really want a turbo? If so, then do it. If it's just to have something different or to have a change, then most probably not. My rule of thumb is, if you have to ask the question, then the answer is usually no.

The power of the turbo is most definitely usable on the street, although some may frown upon doing so, but they would most probably frown upon driving a C2 hard also. The AWD is not for everyone, so make sure you get some seat time before pulling the trigger.

fair trade. Turbo is a lot of fun. A bit more to maintain.

Agreed.
Straight trade, your choice.
Your car and 10k - I don't see equal value here.

That said, the power of WANT has a vastly varied price tag.

If you plan on walking away just make sure you don't test drive the turbo....
