On my motorcycles I got tired of rusted exhaust bolts/nuts and went with titanium. Never any worries about corrosion. I got drilled ones, and SS safety wired them too...no getting loose. I'm surprised more people don't do that with car exhaust fasteners. Same for brake caliper bolts. Just use some anti-seize.

Default Installed SharkWerks Pipe - Good but Issues

You guys are incredible. Thanks so much for the info. Hopefully this goes smoothly. I currently have my pool filled with penetration oil and the car has been submerged for the past two days. I'll take it out when the parts arrive, get some new bolts and hopefully this should be a breeze.

A good hammer and a punch will also come in handy if you break a cat bolt and have to punch it out. With the splines, they were tough to get but persistence will pay off.

nwGTS,
Did you do anything to the mufflers? Gundo hack or replaced with Fister modified mufflers?

I'd be interested to hear the car once you get everything installed.

Nope. My car has PSE though so no gundo needed. I'll take pre install PSE on/off video and post install PSE on/off video. It's been done before but I want to mount a gopro to the rear bumper to get direct sound instead of flybys. I'm hoping the xpipe arrives this week. But might not be until first week of April that I can do the install. I'll follow with a new post once it's done.

The best penetrating oil that I have used is Kano Kroil

I installed the bypass on Lanolin this past weekend.
Here's a vid I slapped together tonight with the pre and post install sound with PSE On.
PSE off is virtually unchanged.

Does anyone know if these will void any aspect of either the factory or CPO warranty?

My car is CPO. From multiple dealers I've been told that as long as "cats back" it is fine.

It will void the warranty on the muffler itself, of course...

I'm having my dealer actually install the components (Fister and SW bypass) so that if they ever claim a poor installation was the cause of something...
