Yes I agree those do look terrific. I am a big fan of matching gray wheels with gray cars.

Does anyone know if you go to a body shop, do they just sand your wheels down then spray?
The company that I purchased the wheels from uses a 12-point refinishing process (from start to finish)...where they are inspected/checked for imperfections and proper roundness/ balance, cleaned, stripped, repaired (if required), painted, clear coated and baked-on. They specialize in wheels for Porsche (but also refinish wheels for other manufacturers) and have been doing so for 30+ years. They are located out on the west coast ((US) and ship them out to just about anywhere (no affiliation).

Wheels were hard-baked finished in this set... We currently cold-strip our wheels and then start off with a solid base color, mask and shoot the second color, after final touch-ups we then clear coat and hard-bake finish the entire job.

You can find more information by going to www.wheeldynamics.com and click on the refinishing tab.

Lol!!! I didn't realize that WD is a sponsor. Here's a shout out to Eli and Desiree at Wheel Dynamics for their excellent service!

whoever came up with this faux-2-piece paint job idea on the lobster claws is a genius.

completely transforms the wheel
