I was retracting the sun screen a couple days ago. The first half retracted normally, but then the second half did not get spooled in. The bar at the front edge moved back normally, but since the screen did not spool in, it just slumped down.

I tried it multiple times. I then noticed that the last 1/2 was spooling SUPER slowly. I would then retract the screen an inch at a time, waiting for it to go in and then repeat until the whole thing was back.

Any ideas?

 

My screen motor went after 7 years, it was a rather expensive fix by the dealer but I did not want to be without it. Nothing works forever.
