Default New to me '08 9774S

Finally got my first 911! I have owned some nice performance cars in the past (RS4, E63), but always lusted after that 911. So a long search started after the E63 was sold and this is the result. I am so thrilled - this is all and more than I hoped for. This car is so much more connected/visceral/basic in a good way than anything I owned before. Took it out on a short road trip this weekend into the Canadian Rockies and just want to keep on driving. There are rattles that I hate and will try to fix with time. The radio / electronic interface sucks, but I knew that going in and wanted to wait for a 09, but this car was too good to pass up. Again, I will try to find a compromise given time. I secretly check those curves before I go to bed at night(I that wrong?) I also mounted the white winters that came with the car and after I thought all the white would not work with this car, I can not wait for winter!! Not that I think I will drive this beaut in the winter. That said, I am a great believer that these machines do worse when not used, so will likely mount them and drive on really good days. Give me your thoughts.

Your car looks to be in fantastic condition! Although I prefer the Turbo wheels, the white ones look better than I thought they would. I'm a fan of contrasting wheels, though. I have black ones on my Carrara White 997.

Enjoy! She's a beauty!

I really like the white wheels as well as the white painted backs on your adaptive sport seats. Good choice.

Very nice and welcome to the board!

You are a lucky man to be able to go for a "short road trip this weekend into the Canadian Rockies"...a bit envious here.

While I agree with Moby's pop's preference of the Turbo wheels (also easier to clean the inside of the wheels), I can just picture your new baby in the dead of winter with prodigious amounts of snow on the roads and your all white beast melting into the scenery...I'd like to see a picture of that...

Enjoy, get out there and practice driving these special machines and use it in the best of health!

Did you test fit all four wheels, or do just one side and flip the car for the photo's.
To me, wonderful car, love the 4S, love the white wheels for winter.

Yes, I just test fitted the one side and flipped it around for the other side's photo's. The white wheel look reminds me of a Cup car. I was so excited when I found out that the winter set was Carrera Sport wheels, (my favourite OEM 911 wheel ) but disappointed that there were WHITE when I finally got them. Now I am slowly warming to the idea!!
