Dynamic Cornering Light failure after Dyno
I had my 2009 C2S smog tested today, which in CA includes measuring the emissions under load on a dyno. Passed the test, but now I have an error message on the OBC to visit the workshop due to a Dynamic Cornering Light Failure.
The smog tech warned me that PSM would have been confused by the dyno (rear wheels spinning - front wheels not) and that an error code was likely, with the suggestion to drive several miles and it would clear.
What concerns me is that the fault is not related to the PSM, and after 20+ miles it has not cleared. Does anyone know if this is normal? Will I need to have the dealer clear this with PIWIS?
My headlights appear to be functional, as they do their little dance on startup.
Thanks,
Kit

It can't be normal but with the depth of electronics in these cars things can get weird. I guess the question is how long do you give it to clear? First I've heard that they test under load. Dyno's do tend to confuse these cars but I agree that it is not a psm function. Perhaps unrelated and coincidental. I know with emissions and gas cap cel's it's not mileage but on/off cycles that lead to clearing.
Was there an error message displayed? My C2S has the dynamic cornering light option. I had an issue once where the driver's side headlight stayed dipped when it initialized one day. No codes or messages about failures. Took about 3 days to rectify itself. Of course, it cleared up when I dropped it off at the dealer to get it fixed. But my issue sounds different than yours.
Following up in case anyone else has this problem. Took my car to a local Indy in San Diego, and they plugged it into their PIWIS and found about 30 fault codes, dating back to before my ownership of the car. It took a couple of hours, but they were able to clear them all, and the car is now operating properly with no faults.
If I had a Durametric, I could have reset these myself, so I'll add this to my list of future purchases.

Ok, so what was causing the cornering lights issue?
Was it just a cascade of issues not being resolved?
We'd love to know what specifically was fixed that could have been the issue with the cornering lights.
