I have a 2009 C2 and live in California. I am interested if it is California CARB certified and comes with the CARB "sticker".

NO on both questions. I had the single intake on my 07 4S. It sounded awesome at WOT but didn't have the low end I get with the deals air box.

Got rid of it because you have to switch back to stock at smog check. No one will smoke you, unless you know a friend that has a friend who is friends with another friend who will do it! I checked into that....not worth it.

The intake looks great installed, sounds great with my Fister mod, but unless you open a hole on the right side you are not going to get all the air you could with two intakes.

California sucks sometimes!!

"cold air intakes" are a hassle in California. The intake I installed on my 2006 STI was CARB certified with "the sticker" included, I bought it from SPT -> Subaru Performance Tuning ... the Subaru factory tuner division. It passed smog inspections and tests, sounded awesome and along with the SPT exhaust added 45 HP on the dyno.

The cold air intake I installed on my 2000 VW Jetta VR6 was not CARB certified and had to be swapped out with the factory box in order to pass California smog tests.

I will probably buy this Fabspeed intake if/when it is CARB approved and comes with "the sticker". If SPT can get certification there is no reason Fabspeed can't. Huge market in California.

I do not want to mess with swapping intakes on my Porsche to pass smog tests.

I didn't offer an opinion(and if I did, it would be based on facts), it was a statement.

To the point, I am trying to keep this thread clean so that it is easier for me to manage.

PM's sending out now!

This intake is totally different in design. It uses two smaller diameter primary tubes instead of the one "J" pipe of the past.
