Heinlein Racing Development is highly recommended. They specialize in Porsches - ranging from street cars to full blown racecars. Located off of Rt. 80 in Ledgewood, NJ.

Gene from Autohaus has a long standing good reputation. He is fair and practical and knows Porsches. He is tied into Rob Francis Motorcars who sells high end exotics.

I'm trying to find a place in Bergen County that does good work at a reasonable price...
I've used and liked PowerTech in Rockaway for years when I had my other car [there was a several-year gap when I moved out of state] but it's kind of far (40+ miles) from where I currently live for me to drop off and pick up my car (and have a ride to/from there arranged in advance) for just an oil change or similar so I was looking for a place I could trust that had reasonable pricing.
I contacted the local Porsche dealership (well, the closest one to my house) to find out the cost for:
1. Reset an airbag warning light (it came on after I swapped out the battery and doing the "disconnect the negative terminal overnight" technique didn't work);
2. An oil and filter change; and
3. A spare remote and key and cutting/programming of same.
I'd heard from other threads about dealerships that the warning light reset would be around $75 so the quote of $74 wasn't a surprise. Similarly for the $470 quote for the remote, key, and programming, that wasn't too much of a surprise either.
The surprise for me was that I was quoted $299 for an oil/filter change. Really? I was tempted to ask them if that includes anything else in the service because it sounds exorbitant to me but maybe that's par for the course at Porsche dealerships and I'm that much of a cheap rube.
Thoughts?

I love Jack Daniels Porsche!! Ask for Walter and you won't be disappointed! Chris the Service manager is a Prince as well. Love that dealership and the service I get…I'd never go anywhere else but price isn't what I worry about with my car…correct and excellent service is and I always get it there!!
Just my 2 cents. PM me if you want to talk.
