I have had several 997 cabs, most with auto dimming function but not all have been that way. The '10 C2s PDK I have now does not, which is strange as it has just about every thing else (SC, full leather, dynamic lights, ventilated seats, etc). At first I liked the non AD mirror as it is smaller and takes up less windshield (blind spot)! But I had a 991 loaner the other day and I really liked the shape of the new rear view mirrors. They curve up at the bottom outside corners and are less obtrusive looking forward and only show back window or clear with the top down instead of the seat back headrests in the mirror. So my question. Can I retro fit a 991 mirror on my 997.2? Suncoast parts doesn't see why not. It is only $105 plus shipping, which surprised me. And that for an AD one (only way they come now). I have power near there for a radar detector but even if AD function doesn't work, the shape is much better, especially for a cab. Thanks for any thoughts.

It doesn't work! The bracket connectors are of two different designs. I tried but no go.
