My 993 has the same issue and it squeals like crazy when I brake. I tried soaking the rotors and calipers with Simonize wheel cleaner then rinsed. I went for a drive and after repeated attempts the squealing was gone.

Unfortunately it returned later in the day after about 5 stops.

Thats what i want to confirm. If after a few stops it will still be quiet.
Dan, i agree with you that was why i quickly followed up with is it like the wd 40 on leather tip. I just hope these guys do not accidentally fool people into doing their suggestions and get to damage something or worse get someone in an accident. Some people just do not consider their actions.

Wow, I did not really think anyone would actually do that! Especially if they found their way here!
Sorry.

well common sense for car enthusiasts may not be the same for non car enthusiasts. when these guys talk about newest information tech, it all seems common sense to them but maybe not for us…
nevertheless i have good news so far. after the through washing of the brake discs and caliper, i have tried stops that created the squeal before….nada. lets see how long it will last. thanks for the brothers who suggested the washing technique

Quote: Don't think you can press gas & brake at the same time with e-gas on the 997s. 996s either.
You can on PDK cars
