Each 997 tail light is attached to the body of the vehicle by two screws. Each screw goes through the metal body piece and into a gold-colored metal receptacle which is part of the tail light assembly. These gold receptacles are threaded on the inside and the outside.

I am looking for four of these. Each tail light assembly has two.

Was hoping that someone who has purchased alternative tail lights would consider selling his/her parts from the old light assemblies. They are easily removable, and can be moved from one set of tail lights to another, so you'd arguably never miss them.

Problem is that in order for me to replace them via Porsche, I would have to replace the entire tail light assembly. There's no part number for them and Porsche will not procure them for me.

When I replaced mine I had to reuse the piece you need so I don't have a spare set to give you.

 

Your best bet would be a dismantler, or have a look through ebay for any damaged lights. The problem is with the tail light upgrades to LED, the "gold receptacles" you are after are used to attach the LED lights to the car, so I think it's going to be difficult to find a set of four.
