Default Dented exhaust headers from speed bumps and other road obstruction how to fix?

Have dented exhaust header pipes from speed bumps and other road hazards how do these things get repaired? The header of the 997.2 is connected to the cats and it would seem too tedious to remove for repair. Is there a way to repair without dismantling?

if the dents are small and theres no crack then let it be. otherwise, time for a mod!

Please excuse this question if it is unnecessary: The headers on the 997.2 are hydroformed and have pipes with very unusual shapes that almost look as if they are bent, flattened, or damaged. Are you sure that you aren't seeing just the normal shape, like the flattened sections on the bottom?
Again, my apologies if you are already aware of this.

Please post a pic because you really don't want any part of your header restricted by a dent. The header is fairly high on the engine and I'd think something else would have been banged up before the getting to the header. If it is damaged I'd suppose a quality exhaust shop would have to determine if it is repairable. I'm thinking a dent at a bend might be terminal.

OP, here is a photo of how flattened on the bottom and oddly shaped the headers normally look (photo borrowed from the Sharkwerks site). The first time I saw them when I looked under the car at the dealer it was quite a surprise, I had to look under two other cars before I was convinced it was normal.

I backed into a parking spot w a concrete bumper and the oil pan hit instead of any exhaust but I assumed the exhaust when I first looked under car. My indy mx said all was good and normal, to just be careful backing as it is very low back there! Nice pic Storm, thank you, as I have the SW bypass and it looks just like that, though a little dirtier

Thanks for the great picture Storm. OP, if your headers were indeed dented from road debris or speed bumps then I think you would most certainly see abrasion on the headers themselves in the areas dented and most likely on the oil pan as well. If you see no such abrasion then it is perfectly normal. On to the next problem.....

Mine looks the same but I do have a slight scratch on pan. When going through any parking lot with the speed bumps I put suspension in stiff mode since this swill top the rear from bouncing back down on the speed bump as it does in standard mode.

Storm, great picture! Thanks. Some of the dents now appear to be normal but some arent and have abrasions on the pipe as some of our brothers have mentioned.
Hi Jw, i was reffering to the areas near the oil pan bottom where the flat portion appears on the pipes as in the picture from storm.
