Dented exhaust headers from speed bumps and other road obstruction how to fix?

Bottomed out and scraped my GTS headers awhile back....really bummed me out!
Per previous posts, the header pipes at the bottom are specially formed, and normally look quite narrow and restricted.
Anyway, a way to check if a dented header has a negative impact on performance, is to hook up to diagnostics at dealer and see if the fuel mapping is changed from stock. I was pleased to find out that my car was not effected, so I left the pipes alone. Very difficult to repair the scrapes given the convoluted nature of the header shape..so said multiple metal workers I spoke with.
