Default Fuchs Replica Question

Does anyone know if the Avant Garde (Ruger) Classics and Hartmann HP 310 are manufactured by one company and marketed by the two listed companies?

I did a number of searches, but could not find an answer.

Thanks in advance,
Bill

I can't speak for them but there are two "Fuchs" wheels out there that are close to the 'originals.'

The first is Otto Fuchs in Germany who produced the original Fuchs alloys that appears on 911s from 1968 through about 1992. Otto Fuchs has reappeared for the 997 market with an updated wheel.

The second is a company in Southern Calif who acquired the name "Fuchs" for marketing purposes in the USA and are likewise doing investment forgings. Neither company does castings of those designs. They do it the old-fashioned way--and expensive way, and that is how weight is kept the lowest. Fuchs Performance is making a 997 wheel that looks like the original Fuchs alloy.

Dan,
Thanks for the reply. I've seen the two Fuchs brand wheels which are forged. There's also a third forged option which is now aligned with Fikse wheels, as well as the cast OEM Sport Classics.

I recently saw the Hartmann wheels on the web and was trying to get a little more insight into those.

Bill
