Default Sebring 12 Hrs_what's Porsche Corral like?

Can anyone give me an idea what this is like.......and then, in general impressions of Sebring as a spectator track?
I'm a mid-western boy who will find himself down in those parts next month....never been at Sebring.

TIA

Um, they're small marine invertebrates that build reefs. Didn't know Porsche had anything to do with it.

The Porsche Corral is great. Well supported by the local PCA chapter with plenty of space to park your car. There is also a very nice tent and separate seating. The crowd is um, entertaining. If you plan to take your family or young children I would think again. The track with the cars at speed are fantastic. I think the locals just go to the track to have a party and then a race breaks out......

Sebring is a great place to car camp but ounce your in, your in until Sunday .
It really starts on Thursday
I go on Thursday , set up camp, go into town have bar b q, drive around
Watch practice and night practice
Friday watch practice and historic races
Walk around all Friday night watching the most
Outrageous partying that I think can only happen
In Florida and it go's All Night Long
Saturday I go to Porsche coral and the Hot Pit Pass areas

Thanks fellas....this is helpful.....I think I'm going to try to do this.
It's just the wife and I....we're not campers......would drive her C4S Cab into the Corral Sat A.M.

We're coming up from the Keys and now I see most hotels around Sebring are booked......at least good ones like Inn on the Lakes.

It is a hoot! It's a party that has this 12 hour race…

Seriously, great race, Sebring has many places where you can literally be a few feet from the cars/track.VERY photo friendly, as opposed to Road Atlanta.

Porsche Platz is a great way to go. Hospitality tent, clean facilities, many, many Porsches.

For the last 5-6 years, went for photos (Like 6k+ images), this year taking my wife, just for the day.
I'll get her a Patron Tent bracelet, we will walk about smartly, and when we have eaten enough track food, we will wander home.

Tons of very nice cars, tons of eye candy, great racing. Do it, at least once. Here are a couple of pics…

And, a LOT of this…

Gregg - thanks for the post - you beat me to it. My 20 y/o son and I are road-tripping from Ohio to Sebring this year in the P-car. This is our first time to the 12hr.

This sounds like the Indy 500 infield from back in the day...

I echo the positive comments from all above. The local PCA chapter does a fantastic job. One benefit I didn't see mentioned was you get to do a couple parade laps on the track. This typically happens Friday. Additionally, they normally have the factory drivers come over to the tent and discuss the new car and answer questions. If you have not ordered your tickets yet, you may be to late to get in. I go to Amelia Island the weekend before and make an entire week of it. Anything to get out of the weather we have been having here in teh Mid-West.

Just to reiterate

The best party is Friday night or for some its Thursday night
The infield follow the music to the big acts
On home made stages

Here are a few more examples of Sebring's charm…

Best decorating:

Porsche Lap:

The pole on the rear deck is not for holding up the umbrella:

You will see some fine Porsches:
