I've been looking to do the exactly the same with a red "S" on my black 997CS. Can you let me where you ordered these? I want to make sure I ordered the ones with the same font. Thanks.
I got mine from Gaudin Porsche, but there are quite a few places selling the 991 emblems.
may i ask how long it too you and what you used to keep everything perfectly lined up and spaced out?
Took about 45 minutes, most of which was spent measuring. I used blue painters tape placed along the line of the spoiler shut line, and used the lower edge of it for the placement of PORSCHE. Found the center line and worked out from there. Measured the width of the E and used that measurement as the space between each letter.
V E R Y NICE, really liking the spacing on the PORSCHE...at first I thought, wow, too close, but after looking at it...it rocks ...!, gonna be hard to keep those spaces, or lack thereof, clean...worth it...
I got those badges in black ordered and enroute. I like the spacing between the letters, have seen them deployed close together (PORSCHE vs. P O R S C H E) but the script used for this lettering does not lend itself to being deployed close to each other. (IMO)
and I de-badged mine cause it just looks cleaner and cleaning around any badging has always been a pain, especially on a dark car...one of the great things about the 911 is its size, much easier to clean than the A8 that came before,
Sorry for the brighness of the reflection, 3 inches of snow today creates a bright reflection. Like I said I copied phil, I measured 1.5 inches between letters. The 911 was kept just like it came in the package. Reused the S, new 3m tape of course.

When you have a moment, Can we get some more photos farther away , to see how it looks overall from the back?!? Thank you
I've been toying with the idea of using the retro 911S, which I think will look great with the classic ducktail. But I'm also kinda liking the combination. I'm also waiting for the black PORSCHE lettering to use in place if the Carrera. Hard to decide.
The back of a 997 should just say either "Carrera S" or "911." All of the other extra badging just looks tacky - might as well just put a trio of oval ghetto vents on each of the front fenders and get it over with.

Just put a silver 911 badge on the back. It'll look great on white.

Now that might be an exageration. The factory puts lettering all over. Just look at "RS" porsches gt3's ect. It is not a stretch to have badges on the cars. Now I personally think there can be too much but wouldn't consider them ghetto, just Porsche's.
