Default OZ Challenge Wheels + Nitto NT01 tires for my C4S

Other go bigger... I went smaller...

18s for high performance driving...
8.5x18 front 12x18 rears and widebody offset...

Tires are Nitto NT01 245/305s...

I will install them on the car later on since currently we have a lot of snow and freezing temps...

I will also weight them when i get the chance and compare them to my stock 19 inch wheels with Hankook RS3s currently...

Are you happy with the Nitto tires? What made you pick them?

They are near racing compound made for the track just like the michelin sport cups.

I haven't tried them yet...

I wanted a HIGH grip tire that i can drive on the street occasionally without a crazy price. Based on reviews this is one of the best choices... I had to try it myself... Price too is not too bad... About $1100 shipped compared to Toyo R888 close to $1500 and other tires even higher...

Eventually i will try Hoosier A6s (for autocross) too but their disadvantage is that you cannot drive them on the highway...

I have tried Michelin PS2, Michelin Supersport, currently i have Hankook RS3s on my regular wheels (crazy grip but almost R compound noise) and now i will try the Nittos...

I had Nittos on my CLS63 AMG.
I thought they were average. Not as good as SO3s, mich ps, or kumhos but better than contis. I'd say they were close to my Perrelli P zeros

NT01s? These are track tires... Your CLS would need a drag radial type tire if grip is what you want... At the track or even autocross the NT01s outperform all street rated tires... I have tested a number of tires like PS2s, PSS, Hankook RS3s and they follow the same order in terms of grip... Overall daily the PSS is my favorite... Tha hankooks are too noisy....

Please keep us posted when you get them on, I think 18's are the way to go for all out performance and handling.

I've been tracking the nt01's and I along with many other track friends know for sure that these are the best street able r-compound tire going.

I've tried many sets of other tires and only tire that came close was the now discontinued Toyo RA1.

Love it- will see you at NJMP this year! I did the same (went down to 18") and it made a noticeable difference.

Your comments, feedback and experience was one of the reasons that I selected the Nittos. Thanks!!

The question I have is anyone using the Nittos Nt01s to drive to and from their DEs? If yes, how has that worked for you when it rains?
