I've searched the marketplace and can't get a handle on how much a complete set of PCCB's from an 09 Carrera would be? Most for sale appear to come from 996 GT3's or 997 GT3 RS's etc...
Does anyone have an idea how much front and rear calipers, rotors and pads would sell for?
Wow - that would be smart if you could pull around 7 grand from the car and still have a great breaking system. The car I bought I was originally told had PCCB, but didn't. When I thought the car had them, I immediately called a few shops to find out if I could swap in steel if the PCCB needed replacement, which luckily can be done rather than replace the expensive rotors.
I have a Carrera S with OEM PCCB's and love every thing about them for street use (the only use it gets). Why are you looking to get rid of them op?
I dont want to speak for the op but if I were to get 997.2 with PCCBs and could get a few grand out of swapping brakes with another 997 I would probably do it. I'd rather use that money for other mods.
How long do those PCCBs last? WHen i was shopping i purposely stayed away from any car with PCCB due to the replacement rotor cost and have read for street use they offer negligible benefits to the steel rotors. Curious if you are staying away for replacement costs as well?
