The other issue with this car is that it has Pirelli Sotozero serie II tires which have the snowflake rating. This is good for driving out of Kansas in the winter, but I live in Houston, where the weather today was 65 degrees. So I will have to buy a new set of summer performance tires which will set me back $1,600+ (Michelin PSS). But it is a great looking car, with almost all of the options that I want (except for a sport steering wheel, which would cost $1200 to swap out).

You're right, one of the previous posts has a different car posted up. For reference, my dealer has (maybe sold?) a '09 S cab that is similiarly optioned for 65. 1 year and the AWD don't = $13K imo. So I'd use the tires and wheel as negotiating points. Make them an offer that includes them replacing the tires and changing the steering wheel. Then it's a better deal

Yes, you are right. If it works out, I will plan to drive back to Houston with the winter tires, and then buy from Tire Rack the summer performance tires to install in Houston. I will try to factor the cost of the tires (and the sport steering wheel) into the price. Perhaps they will have an incentive to sell before the end of the year.

We all love our 997's but the prices of early 991's are really dropping to the mid-to-low 80's. Granted not for 4S versions but a 2012 991 Cab can be had for that price. Maybe apples to oranges comparisons but I would prefer a 991 base cab to a 2010 C4S IMHO.

I agree but only in regard to the interior. 991 interior is great

There has been a lot of discussion about 997 vs 991; a lot of people seem to prefer the 997

Thanks, but I am looking for a manual in either Meteor Grey or GT Silver, with a specific list of options and low miles.

I think $75K is about where it should be. My cousin in-law has a 2010 C4S convertible that he has debating whether to sell (GT Silver I think). I will see him over XMAS and see if he wants to move it. I'll put you in touch. Its cherry.

I am still waiting for the dealer to be willing to go lower on his price. In the meantime, a 2011 c4s meteor grey with similar options has become available, with 13,101 miles and an asking price of $87,995. What are your thoughts on fair pricing for this one? Below are the options and link to the website:

You can do better. Just me but there are some serious options missing for that price.... navigation, full leather interior and SAT (SAT a must). Without it installed you will not be able to add it I believe and that means aftermarket to. I'd look into that if I were you. SAT in the metro tristate area is just about all anyone listens to anymore. I'd keep looking for that kind of price.
