To me that looks expensive. I bough my 2oo6 with 55000 miles for mid 30's.
For that dough you could be in a way newer car.
for an extra $3 1/2k you could be in a 5 year newer car, though this is standard.

hammer them a bit.

The one owner, S, and 33k miles make it worth a little more, but being a tip and 2005 will hurt the resale a little from what I've seen. I wouldnt go over over $40k, you can always try to talk them down.

There are a lot of 2005-2007s in the $45k & under range to choose from, get what you want!

Has the IMS been dealt with? I'm not sure what to do about the 2005 I see in my own personal search because I don't know if it needs to be dealt with preemptively or just get a good warranty and hope for the best.

Ya, I may have missed that. "Previous accident" could mean a mirror was knocked off, or the front end was missing. My point still stands, I believe you could fine a newer car with similar millage, for about the same money. Even the OEM dealership cannot guarantee no accidents, I'm sure their small writing clause is to the best of their knowledge. How hard have they looked. Not every incident is reported. Not everything is on a CARFAX. AND, I have Read/seen carfax information registered months after a sale.
My best advise, wash the car yourself, by hand, in bright light. You can often find flaws yourself.

I'd say that's about right for asking price (and you could wiggle it down slightly to close the deal)

Everyone here will tell you anything over 100 dollars is too high.

Price is a shade high, but if the condition is good and the IMS has been replaced it's ok. The tiptronic balances out the S price bump. I'd say it's worth no more than $40, tops. The low mileage is actually not a good thing when it comes to IMS, but others more knowledgeable than me can pinpoint when the pre-IMS fix cars were produced.

An April or May 05 build date will more than likely have the M97 case with larger IMS bearing. You should be fine. Price is high. That's a sub $40k car. Tip hurts.

I just bought a c2s 2006 black with aerokit. Mint condition. Sports chronic, pasm, no PSE, 14K miles for $50K

The peace of mind of not having IMS is worth a few K's to me

I think the price is a tad high but not much, I doubt the dealer would let you have it for less than 40-42. For reference I just bought a 2008 C2S with pasm and that's about it for options. 60k on body, fresh crate motor, paid 47k at a dealer. Only question you need to answer is if its a M97 or not. After that if its in good condition you will soon forget whether you paid 40 or 42 for it after driving it for a month.

If you paid 47 for an 08 then a 05 at43 is waay high
