Default 997 4s Car Cover

Does anyone use an outside car cover for a 997 4s? If so can you offer any recommendations? Is a car cover preferred or are there issues?

My newly found detailer went all Soup **** on me when I solicited a car cover recommendation :-) (I have a carport, not garage, in Atlanta burbs)

He did some serious paint correction for swirl/scratch removal followed by CQuartz sealant and says I'll do more harm than good putting it on & taking it off
(I presume microscratches etc)

I have to admit, One man on & off tends to glide a cover around a bit.

That said, my carport is enclosed on 2 sides, it still gets crud blown in there.
He promises to educate me :-) on best winter cleaning, touch ups so I won't freeze my __ off, so we'll see.

I think if you had two or more people to help with the on/off and get a quality cover you can keep clean, it makes you feel better. But you don't want to induce paint damage.

I used a high end fitted Covercraft on daughters MR2 Spyder in 2002.

I have my two P cars in a carport and both are covered with the OEM version. Expensive but worth it IMO.

I thought the OEM was just too tight on my 4S. They don't make different versions for the NB and the WB cars. Less than one year after starting to use it it was pulling apart at the seams. fyi

That is my biggest gripe re oem car cover it's a pita to put on... I can totally see how it would be too right for a wb, it's tough enough as is for a nb
