Black Carrera 4 at parking lot by Serranos @ Mopac and Ben White 71. I had looked at this very vehicle at the porsche dealership before I got mine. It was a great looking black 4 with big lipped black on black rims.
I was on the phone but saw another arctic silver or gt silver 997 S getting on 35 heading south 06-08? with LEDs. I was just getting off there at Oltorf.
Saw a Red 997 S with tint and LED's, maybe '10-'11 ? heading north on Woodard off of Ben White.
There are a few regular-to-prolific 997 posters who are Austinites. I am more of a lurker. Sounds like you must be down south. I am way up north in a cobalt blue 997.1 coupe.
Nice! Good to see some Austin folks around. Is Lot A the Porsche parking lot? Anyone know if the lot where all the Porsches park is free? Not a big deal just wondering how it works?
Hi everybody from a new member of the forum (and to forum's in general).
I'm pretty sure I'm the Black Carrera 4 seen in the Serrano's parking lot (290 and Mopac). I'm loving the car so far and have a number of mods/fixes planned for it already. I went to the dealership to test drive a used Cayman S but didn't really care for the grey interior. That black C4 was on the lot just beckoning and after driving it for 2 minutes, I knew I was going to buy it.
Will try to post pics as I make my series of transformations (already swapped out the amber side markers).
The Porsche lot will be lot F this year. I think it will be a dusty lot this time. I will be in Parking Lot A also as I know this is a paved lot.
I would not expect anything to be dusty, given the rain we had in Oct, including flooding on the 31st. I was at COTA a couple weekends ago for the vintage races, before the rain on the 31st, and remember more mud than dust. Though I'd still opt for a paved lot if at all possible!

Oh, there will be dust, especially with a black car - dust magnets.

Yeah down south. I can be a lurker, this is actually the most I've posted in a while. All good though I'd be down for a meet sometime with a group on here.

Awesome, it's funny how you go test drive a different car and end up walking away with a 997. Happened to me before! That black is pretty pimp!

How does Lot F work? Do you need a parking tag? I was out at COTA during LeMans and saw the lot full of P cars..I stopped to stare at some of them. Lot's of great p cars in one lot!
Saw a few 997s on the way to COTA yesterday. A silver GT3 with blue stripe passed me on 130 around noon. I passed a black 997 S and silver 997 C4 on 130 on the way home, I was the red 997.1 driving at well into 3 digits ;-) Car park F was pretty dusty and a long freaking walk from the main grandstand!
