Default Where is ......

Where is 997.618.516.01 located? Durametric calls it the Communications Front Control Unit (Comfort)

Battery died and after I did the emergency procedure to open the boot lid I got a C127 error, it goes away and then comes back intermittently.

TIA
CAM

Headlight control module?

Says it is #7 in this image, not sure if this will help you.

Thanks I found that too, but still don't know where.
I think it's in the trunk somewhere

Default Dude...search C127 first

Before replacing the unit, try actuating the emergency frunck release a couple times followed by actually resetting the module via durametric...worked for me. May not need to replace the part. Good luck. If you've already solved this, sorry to resurrect!

It's behind the carpet, you have to remove or pull back the carpet after removing the plastic trim in that area.

I had an issue with mine after polishing the car! Threw loads of codes. I actually have a replacement here, part # 997.618.512.01, but never used it. Despite been told that I needed a new front control module, I cleared all the codes with my Durometric and they never came back and everything works fine.

Be aware that a replacement unit may need programming by the dealer to your vehicle. The replacement unit I bought from a dealer threw almost as many codes as the "faulty" one. After speaking to the dealer they informed me that it needed to be programmed to my vehicle.

Awesome! PhilD...great that this worked for you too...there are posts all over regarding folks paying $300-600 to replace these units after shining their cars!

Yes, kind of sad that polishing your car can cause such damage :-D
