Default PDK (997s) - "warning - transmission temperature too high"

Hi,

Please can anyone advise.....?

Just nipped out for a 10 mile round trip, nothing aggressive and driving in normal auto mode all the way.

Whilst in traffic around 8 miles in, random warning message told me that the transmission temperature was too high. Then it went off and didnt come back on again.

Should I be concerned at this? Why would this happen?

Thanks
Sam

Coolant levels all OK? Radiators cleared? Do you have a 3rd radiator, and is it clean & clear?

Thanks for the response....

No other warning lights present, car has only done 13k miles. Its a 997.2 (2010 model).

Sorry, I have very limited knowledge of engines - just get in it and drive normally!

Thanks
