Tire Rack denotes a mail in rebate for a Michelin tire model of about $25 per tire.

Does anyone have any experience with how long these rebates last? I am trying to play a game of chicken with the weather and the possible purchase of another, good but cheaper tire currently not available.

As rotes said, a few years ago mine came on a card, but I think you are asking how long the program lasts. I think a month or so in the past, but not so sure.

The Michelin website says the offer of $70 rebate expires 9/24/2013.

Confirmed with above ... I got the $70 rebate when I purchased 4 Pilot SS (2 front and 2 rear) through Discount Tire. It was a Visa debit card. Can't recall the expiration date but it was pretty reasonable (I think into 2014). The whole experience was painless. I'm usually not into these rebates as past experienced has not been very positive, but decided to complete the online rebate form. Got the Visa card pretty quick, a couple weeks, and it was loaded up correctly and most places took it fine. I'd say it is worthwhile if it is still available. But sounds like the $70 deal may not be around any more.

I just ordered the Michelin Alpins from Tire Rack and had them shipped directly to my Indy. A bit early as I don't usually put them on until ThanxGiving, but I like saving $70.
