Default 997 PSE exhaust for Gen 1 (2005-2008)

I have a PSE exhaust off an 05 997. This is in nice condition and I can post more photos if someone wants. System was removed at low miles to install a full race exhaust. What you see in the photos is what you get. There are a few bolts for the clamps missing and possibly missing a clamp. If it is not in the photo, I don't have it. Research the PSE on Rennlist, lots of comments, this is a great sounding exhaust for your 997.1.

I'm asking $1475 plus shipping. Will not ship outside the US.

I presume you're looking at the rust on the mufflers. I presume it is a result of age, not miles, as it is off an 05.

Anyone looking to install a PSE should seriously consider this stuff, particularly the mufflers and tips, as the rest of the stuff (solenoid, clamps and hoses) can be purchased at more reasonable prices to complete the full PSE setup. Of course, anyone just wanting it to be on loud setting all the time could install the mufflers and tips without the control equipment.

GLWS.

Most people would only want or need the mufflers and tips, and wouldn't need the mounting brackets and cats since they could use their existing ones. Also, looking at the last photo, the little tab welded to the driver's side outlet pipes is broken and will need to be welded (stainless). This is common on these PSE mufflers. The set I purchased earlier this year had a couple of broken brackets that needed repair (cheap fix when off the car). The broken tabs can cause weird rattles and squeaks.
Suggest listing these in Classified section.

Do not know the miles on the exhaust, these came off a fairly low miles car converted to full race.

D Kinsey, I'll box and estimate shipping today. I'm willing to take a little off the the price and keep parts you don't need which will also reduce shipping cost. I'll pm you later today with cost

FWIW, I replaced my PSE mufflers after 115,000 miles ( internal baffles were shot ) with a set with 20,000 miles on them for $900. Didn't include PSE Tips ( which are easily worth $300) or the stock cats and mounting brackets.

So the full kit offered here at this price doesn't seem unreasonable to me. For those that prefer OEM parts the PSE system represents an excellent used alternative compared to much of the newer junk out there.

What is a rough guess on parts cost to complete the system?

Give Suncoast or Sunset Porsche a call. Earlier this year Sunset quoted me approx. $477 for the kit which contains the solenoid, vacuum tubes, clamps, clips, wyes, etc. The main contributors to cost are the wiring harness and the 2 braided vacuum hoses to the mufflers (which are about $80 each). You don't need the whole harness if you're just going to have a simple on/off switch, but you will need to find the plug end of the harness to plug into the solenoid. The solenoid itself is about $35. BTW, you don't want to know the cost of new cans and tips! They are crazy expensive.
