Purchased 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera (Update)
Hi,
I'm Ryan. I used to have a 996 (I think the 996 is still my avatar) and I just bought a 997. 2010 Carrera, 50,000 miles, power confort seats with driver memory, bluetooth, Bose, dynamic cornering lights, heated seats, Navigation, self dimming mirrors, Universal Audio Interface, 19" Carrera Classics and XM Radio. Car is certified. I paid $50,000.00, including the certified pre-owned warranty, but excluding Florida Sales Tax. Just wanted to post this so people who are shopping have an idea. I think I got a decent deal on this car because of the mileage and dealer had it in inventory for a few months. Bought it from Circle Porsche in Long Beach. I dealt with Raphael Borenstein, a sales manager. I haven't yet seen it or driven it and it is being shipped to me, but I have no reason to doubt Raphael's description of the car. I'm not new to Porsche and I was very specific with the questions I asked him. I also highly recommend him. He was very helpful with coordinating the purchase and the transport out of state and he appeared to be very specific and honest when answering my questions. If the car isn't as described, I'll let you know. I attached pictures. Thank you for all of your posts. I really enjoy reading this forum.
UPDATE: The car arrived and I waited to drive it for a while before updating this post. The car was EXACTLY as described by the sales manager. Those who usually follow this forum may have been following a thread about the sale of a GTS from Beverly Hills Porsche. My experience from Circle Porsche was completely the opposite. There were a few (very minor) nicks on the door compartment and ashtray cover and one mark on the driver's seat bolster. Everything was painstakingly described so that I wouldn't be surprised. Those of you shopping for a Porsche from out of state should consider contacting Raphael Borenstein from Circle Porsche if that dealer has a car you like. He was very pleasant to deal with and seemed to care more about describing the car and facilitating the deal for me after we agreed upon a price. All certified paperwork was mailed to me in advance of delivery and he even included a pre paid fedex envelope so that all I needed to do was sign the contract and additional documents and call fedex for a pick up. I don't get half the decency and customer service here in south florida. Instead, I get rude remarks about my (now sold) 996 from dealer salesmen where I previously serviced the car such as, for example,"do they make that car for women." Either way, I'll buy my next Porsche, new or used, from Raphael.

Sorry. I should have clarified: Shipping was extra. I don't take that into consideration for purposes of letting everyone here know what I paid since it was my decision to by a car in Cali based on color on options and not the location.

Wonder if there's still time for a local RL member to go and check out the car for you ?.........little peace of mind if you know what I mean.
