Question Can PCM buttons be reprogrammed?

I have a PCM with CD changer in my 997.1 C2. After I bought the car (used), I put a bit of money into installing a Dension USB/iPod dock and bluetooth system for my phone.

The installation went fine and my phone paired up easily. Only then did I have a D'OH moment when I realized my PCM has no phone buttons - so there's no way to answer the phone when it rings. (Well except for picking up the phone itself, which misses the point of having a handsfree system).

The shop gave me a partial refund since they hadn't noticed the problem either, so I just resigned myself not having bluetooth in the car. But I've been wondering lately whether there's any way to reprogram the buttons, so that (e.g.) the CD buttons that I never use could be repurposed as the phone answer and hang-up buttons. Or am I just dreamin' here?
