Default Iplasti-dipped my rear emblem

It really was as easy as they say, now we will see how well it lasts under weather, washes etc.

That looks great, especially on the red. I have often wondered how long the plastidip lasts. I have always wanted to plastidip my rims.

I'm an old skeptic, but it worked just like they say, here's a video you may find to be of interest;

Howd you do it? You remove and painted and reinstalled? How you put the adhesive? That must have been a alot of work?

Wow it does not peel off on the emblems at all? I am going to give this a shot, thinking Black Carrera with a Red S

I wish I'd seen that before I bought new emblems and painted them. I had no idea plasti-dip could/would peel off the paint but not the emblems. The more you know....

How does it hold up under washing/waxing, does the plastidip start to peel off the letters?

Watch the video, you don't remove the emblem/badges.

I watched the vids and then went to their website. Forgive my noob-ness but this product is new to me.

It looks like really cool stuff, but like others, I want to know how it peels off of the paint but not the letters. Is the film just so thin that it tears at sharp transitions like where the letters meet the paint?

I'm seriously considering their wheel paint. I might try that anthracite metallic on my wheels for my Meteor Gray car. I'd probably do my emblems to match.

Thanks to the OP for the post. This encouraged me to finally try coating my exhaust tips (chrome) and my emblem (silver) on my all black car. It was so easy. Took me about an hour and most of that time was waiting between coats. I am very "happy" with the results.
