Default oil has appeared on the intake manifolds

when looking at the engine straight on there is oil kind of seeping on the IM in the middle by the hoses/clamps... am I seeing blow by from the AOS? and when I look down in the area under the IM I see wetness... what's going on in there? I want to get in there and fix this, hopefully this is something within my realm, tia as always, kk

Can you post a picture? It would help others diagnose.

better? I hope...ok. the same oil coating is on the other side of the MAF, and you can't see but there is more under the intake, though no pooling, just wetness

Could be the AOS. Is the oil level ok? At the max line is ok but if it is over...

How does the engine run/idle?

With the engine idling can you unscrew and remove the oil filler tube cap?

With my first AOS I removed the throttle body and found it wet inside with oil. The hose from the AOS connected to the intake directly behind the TB and there was a puddle of oil at this connector.

The second failure the engine just smoked after a cold start and keep on smoking for around a minute. I turned the engine off for knew then the AOS was bad.

hmmm, I thought I answered this...am I losing it? this is the second post in this thread that has disappeared. anyway, oil level is fine, I bar below full and hasn't moved in at least a couple thousand km's, haven't tried the oil filler cap yet, idles/runs fine, no smoke...

should I not drive it till I fix this? and can someone tell me what it might cost at the dealer? my friend who's is a tech at PZ says if it were a tiptronic the engine would have to be lowered/removed, and as it isn't I will probably do this myself with the help of the DIY on renntech...thank you for that

I made the AOS change myself on a 997-1 C4S three days ago, it's not so difficult but you need small hands....
The Pelican parts DIY is helpful . It takes 3 hours with a friend help.
