I believe that any car built in '06 would be considered a "late" '06, and would have the updated bearing. I belive the change was March '05.

I don't know... do you?

Whether you're concerned or not is something only you can answer. But if you have an 06, I believe it's safe to say you have the "updated" IMS bearings. This would put you in the category of "far less than 1%" claim rate as stated by the class action suit info. Pre-mid-2005 bearings "spiked up to between 4% to 8%" claim rate.

So if <1% is a concern for you, then yes... you should be concerned.

I have a late '06 S and I'm only mildly concerned. It's like a fear of plane crashes; I don't lose sleep over it, but I think about it once in a while.

Per IMS lawsuit, any car built post March 2005 has the upgraded IMS, we always thought any late 2005 would be fine and it seems it's even earlier than that.

You are fine! Enjoy!
